SID DOMIC
An Australian Schoolboy International, Sid Domic went on to play for the Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers in the Australian NRL before moving to the English Superleague. His Superleague days have taken him to Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Wildcats and Hull FC.
Sid was a stocky, powerful running backrower (center/second row/lock). A dynamic player, who liked to get involved and make things happen. Sid made his first grade debut in 1993 for the Brisbane Bronces at the age of 18, making 4 first grade appearances for them. During the 1994/95 Australian offseason, Sid played for the London Broncos, making 20 first grade appearances.
Domic signed for Penrith Panthers in 1997 and played 88 games 1st Grade games for them. Sid was voted Clubman of the Year in 1997 for the Panthers.
2002 saw Sid move to the English Superleague. Sid's stint in England lasted 6 years and he quickly became a crowd favourite due to his hard work ethic on the field. Sid was named in the 2004 Superleague DREAM TEAM. In 2006, Sid played in the Superleague Grandfinal for Hull FC, against St. Helens at Old Trafford, Manchester. Sid was to score the only try for Hull.
